About 26.9 percent of the 1,305 degrees and certificates handed out by the Minnesota State Community and Technical College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Falls conferred 240 associate's degrees and 111 certificates in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 325 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 125 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse and 64 certificates in Lineworker.

The college enrolled 6,316 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
