Graduates earn 62 degrees, certificates from Minneapolis Media Institute

About 77.4 percent of the 62 degrees and certificates handed out by the Minneapolis Media Institute in 2016-17 were to students in Visual and Performing Arts programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Edina conferred 33 certificates and 9 bachelor's degrees in Visual and Performing Arts programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in Music Technology. Data shows the school gave out 25 certificates in Music Technology, followed by 9 bachelor's degrees in Music Technology and 8 certificates in Game and Interactive Media Design.

The institute enrolled 85 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
