86 percent of applicants to Saint Cloud State University were admitted for fall 2017


At Saint Cloud State University, 87 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Saint Cloud enrolled 14,975 students in fall 2017, including 13,128 in undergraduate and 1,847 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

86 percent of undergraduates are residents of Minnesota, and 13 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (71 percent) and Asian (6 percent).

The school admitted 86 percent of the 6,387 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
