4.8 percent of University of Minnesota-Duluth students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 4.8 percentage of University of Minnesota-Duluth students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

University of Minnesota-Duluth has 10,118 undergraduate students, of which 53 percent are men and 47 percent are women, and a total student body of 11,168 students. Of these students, 298 men and 241 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at University of Minnesota-Duluth with the most participants are all track combined (250), football (106) and ice hockey (49).
