Graduates earn 1,550 degrees, certificates from Hennepin Technical College


About 16.6 percent of the 1,550 degrees and certificates handed out by Hennepin Technical College in 2017-18 were to students in engineering technology and engineering-related fields programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Park conferred 141 certificates and 116 associate's degrees in engineering technology and engineering-related fields programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in criminal justice/police science. Data shows the school gave out 159 certificates in criminal justice/police science, followed by 70 certificates in computer numerically controlled (cnc) machinist technology/cnc machinist and 68 certificates in heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration maintenance technology/technician.

The college enrolled 5,078 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
