The city of Peoria recently named a new economic development leader.

According to ABC 15 Arizona, before being officially appointed to her new position, Jennifer Stein has been serving as the city's interim economic development director.

"With an aggressive, innovative approach to business attraction and supportive, creative ecosystem for business development, the sky is the limit for what we can do and bring to Peoria," Stein said, according to ABC 15 Arizona.

She also held the position of head of communications for the last eight years and carries approximately 25 years of experience in public and private sector communications, marketing and strategic planning.

As economic development director, Stein will be leading a team of business attraction, development, retention and expansion staff in the city.
