Risen Savior Church, located at 404 Grayston Ave., will be starting a new program called the Supply Closet. The program will provide individuals and families with personal hygiene products as well as household cleaning supplies. The church is also working with Love INC, and others in the area to offer help to those in need.

According to Father Rick Leone of Risen Savior Church, “We want to partner with all the churches in the county that are helping those in need. Our goal is to not duplicate anyone’s efforts, but offer something unique that is not obtainable today.”

“We would like to launch this program in August just in time for the students that will be going back to school,” said Father Leone.

The Supply Closet is in need of soaps to include: laundry, dish, hand and bar soap. They are also in need of hand sanitizer. The Supply Closet will also offer: baby wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, toilet paper, tissues, shampoo and conditioner, combs, brushes and feminine hygiene supplies. The needs also include: disinfectant, cleaning wipes, trash bags, mops and brooms, cleaning cloths, sponges and buckets.

The hours to drop off donations to the church are Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. Those needing these products can pick them up at the church every month on the second and fourth Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

If you would like to donate to the church Supply Closet monetarily, please send checks to Risen Savior Church, 404 Grayston Avenue, Huntington, IN 46750 and write Supply Closet in the memo line.

For more information about the ministry, call or text Father Leone at (260) 312-8054.
