It’s time to break out the navy, aqua, cerulean, cyan, cobalt and royal blue! Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County (BGCLPC) invites the community to attend its second annual Blue Bash gala on Friday, November 10. Blue Bash will once again take place in the Fremont Ballroom at Blue Chip Casino, Hotel and Spa in Michigan City.

BGCLPC’s 2023 Blue Bash will feature a buffet dinner, cash bar and entertainment by Emcee David Greer in partnership with DJ Wesley Scully, aka DJ Nighttrain. Attendees are encouraged to wear anything they like – jeans, sequins or a ballgown – as long as it’s blue!

Tickets and sponsorships can be purchased at www.bgclpc.org/bluebash/. Discounted early bird rates are available through Friday, October 6. Last year’s inaugural event was a tremendous success, with more than 300 tickets sold.

BGCLPC is a La Porte County nonprofit youth development organization offering afterschool Clubs at 8 locations across Michigan City, La Porte, Westville and Kingsford Heights, plus a popular full-day summer camp program. All services are provided at no cost to ensure they are accessible to the children who need them the most. The organization expects to increase the number of children served to approximately 700 in 2023.

“There’s no place like the Boys & Girls Club,” says Michelle Shirk, BGCLPC Chief Executive Officer. “Our Club members receive access to fun, safe places where they can get active, receive academic support, participate in messy STEM projects and make new friends during times when school is not in session. Blue Bash – our largest annual fundraiser - is a blast to attend and an easy way to help us continue to provide high quality programming at no cost to local families. We hope you will consider joining us for a fantastic night for a great cause!”

Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County is a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a nationwide affiliation of more than 5,000 autonomous Club organizations. Questions about Blue Bash or BGCLPC’s programming? Please contact Michelle Shirk at mshirk@bgclubmc.org.
